Workshop
Yin & Breathwork
In our hectic daily lives, we don't always find the time to relax deeply. However, to maintain your well-being, it's essential to regularly seek rest and recovery. In this workshop, Joy takes you on a system reset through the combination of two powerful tools:
- Yin yoga; where we hold poses for an extended period to release old tensions. This literally creates space in your body and releases toxins.
- Breathwork; involving various breathing exercises that 'hack' your system. Through these exercises, you achieve deep relaxation and recovery, releasing toxins as well. The significant oxygen boost provides both energy and relaxation.
The combination of these beautiful 'medicines' induces deep relaxation, allowing your body and mind the space to renew themselves. This opens the door to more space for the person you truly are.
Joyful Vinyasa Flow
Through delightful flowing yoga movements, we rediscover the pleasure of inhabiting a human body. This Vinyasa Flow takes you out of your head and fully into your body. A yoga class where we focus on pleasure. Moving fluidly and playfully from pose to pose in rhythm with the breath.
We live in a world where there's a lot of 'musts,' faster, better, and perfection. It's not surprising that Joy often encounters this mindset among yogis on the mat as well. We just really want to do it right. In this workshop, Joy will help you momentarily forget the perfectionist in you and return to joy. Just like children do so beautifully. We approach the mat with playfulness. What if yoga is mostly about feeling pleasant and nice?

Breath & Release
Where we'll explore various breath techniques preparing us for connected breathing. Give yourself space and feel freer in body and mind.
You've probably heard of breath circles or workshops before, maybe even attended one. In this breath workshop, we gently build up towards connected breathing.
Using various breath techniques, we first calm the nervous system. This allows us to softly introduce connected breathing from that grounded state.
Breath helps release toxins and tension. Our body is highly intelligent and knows exactly what needs clearing when we give ourselves the space.
*Connected Breathing, also known as shamanic breathing, breathwork, or transformational breathing. The names themselves suggest its significant impact on the body and mind. In connected breathing, we omit the pause between inhaling and exhaling, creating a continuous flow. This provides a fantastic energy boost due to the extra oxygen pumped through the body. It allows you to momentarily detach from your thoughts, enabling your body and mind to release tension and traumas. You'll experience making contact with your subconscious and truly feel your life energy, your natural life force.
